Who we are
TAMCARE Home Health (“TAMCARE”, “we”) provides home care services in Ontario and Quebec. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through this website and when you contact us. It follows Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
Information you give us
- Service requests and contact messages: your name, email, phone number, city, and anything you tell us about the care needed — which may include health information about you or a loved one.
- Job applications: your contact details, home address, credentials, experience, languages, availability and CV.
- Consultation bookings made through Calendly, live-chat messages sent through Tawk.to, and messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone or email.
Information collected automatically
Only if you accept cookies: Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) records how the site is used (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location), Google Ads measures whether our ads lead to calls, bookings or requests, and Tawk.to records chat-related visitor information. If you choose “Essential only”, these tools are not loaded.
Always, for the site to work and stay secure: your IP address is used briefly to protect our forms against abuse, and your language and cookie choices are remembered in your browser.
How we use your information
- To respond to you and arrange your free consultation.
- To plan, deliver and coordinate your care.
- To assess job applications.
- To improve the website, if you have accepted analytics cookies.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Consent
By submitting a form you consent to the collection and use described above. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer; if you do, we may be unable to provide some services. You can change your cookie choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Service providers and storage outside Canada
We use trusted service providers who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above: email delivery (Resend), appointment booking (Calendly), live chat (Tawk.to), website analytics and ad measurement (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager), website content management (Sanity — it does not receive form submissions), form spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), and WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose to message us there. Some of these providers store information outside Canada and Quebec, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local laws. We assess these transfers and require providers to protect your information.
Health information
Health information you share with us is used only to understand and meet care needs, is limited to what is necessary, and is accessible only to staff who need it. Information recorded in the TAMVOES platform is also governed by the TAMVOES privacy policy.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then securely destroy or anonymize it. We protect it with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to authorized staff. If a privacy incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask to access your personal information, correct it, or withdraw your consent. Quebec residents may also ask us to stop disseminating or to de-index their information, and to receive computerized information they provided in a structured, commonly used format.
